About Monel Plate

With a successfull growth and market experience, we are supplying a unique arrangement of Monel Plate. It is useful for marine engineering and hydrocarbon processing tool. This plate is extremely corrosive conditions. It is easy to weld and used without facing nay defect challenges. It is made with a premium quality of nickel and iron elements. Monel Plate is resistant to sea water and rust. It has a great ductility and thermal conductivity. It is available in various sizes and dimensional accuracy.

A Monel plate is a strong, corrosion-resistant metal sheet made from a nickel-copper alloy (like Monel 400, with ~67% nickel, ~28% copper) known for its excellent strength, ductility, and resistance to saltwater, acids, and high temperatures, making it ideal for marine, chemical processing, and aerospace applications where durability and performance in harsh conditions are crucial.
Key Characteristics:
  • Composition: Primarily nickel and copper, with small amounts of iron, manganese, and carbon.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Exceptional resistance to seawater, acids, and caustic solutions, even at high temperatures.
  • Strength & Ductility: High tensile strength and good ductility, allowing it to be formed into complex shapes.
  • Temperature Range: Maintains strength and integrity from sub-zero to high temperatures (up to ~1000F or 538C).
  • Workability: Can be welded, machined, and formed, though it work-hardens quickly during machining.
Common Grades:
  • Monel 400 (UNS N04400): A widely used grade, known for its all-around corrosion resistance and strength.
  • Monel K-500: An age-hardenable version (with aluminum and titanium) offering greater strength than Monel 400.
Applications:
  • Marine: Ship components, offshore structures.
  • Chemical Processing: Reactors, pressure vessels, piping.
  • Oil & Gas: Equipment exposed to corrosive hydrocarbons.
  • Aerospace: Aircraft and missile systems.
Types & Finishes:
  • Available as hot-rolled or cold-rolled.
  • Various finishes, including polished, brushed, or satin.
